COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Gas prices in Columbus have dropped over the past week.

According to GasBuddy, the price for a gallon of gas has dropped 3.9 cents in the past week, with the average in the Columbus area being $2.97.

Gas prices are 20.0 cents lower than a month ago, but 69.1 cents higher than a year ago for Columbus drivers.

The cheapest gas station in the area is $2.57 a gallon, while the most expensive is $3.37.  

Nationally, the average price has dropped 4.3 cents a gallon to $3.25.
