COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in east Columbus.  

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 11:41 p.m., were called to the 1600 block of Patton Avenue on the report of a shooting.  

When officers arrived on scene, they found 39-year-old Darshawn Perry suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics declared him dead at 12:11 a.m..

Police say the victim had just left a club in the area when other patrons heard gunshots and found him shortly before calling for help.
