Columbus Police officer struck by car while directing traffic

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A Columbus Police officer was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic in east Columbus Saturday night.

According to police, the accident happened at East 17th Avenue and Stelzer Road at approximately 10:17 p.m.

The officer was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition.

No further information is available at this time.
