COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Prices in the Columbus area for a gallon of gas saw a big jump from the previous week.  

GasBuddy reports the price for a gallon of gas averages $4.06 in the Columbus area. That’s 18.4 cents higher than it was the previous week, 24.6 cents higher than last month, and $1.31 higher than a year ago.  

The cheapest station in the area was $3.79 for a gallon of gas, while the most expensive was $4.29.  

Nationally, the average price for a gallon of gas is up 13.6 cents to $4.31.
