COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Gas prices in the Columbus area have dropped in the past week.  

According to GasBuddy, the average cost of gas in the Columbus area is $3.16 a gallon, which is 3.6 cents lower than last week.  

Gas prices are 4.9 cents higher than a month ago, and $1.15 higher than a year ago.  

GasBuddy reports the cheapest gas station in Columbus is $2.82, while the most expensive is $3.37.
