COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Gas prices in the Columbus area have dropped over the past week.  

According to GasBuddy, gas prices are down 4.1 cents in the Columbus area in the last week, averaging $3.21 per gallon.  

Gas prices are 16.9 cents higher than a month ago, however, and are $1.12 higher than a year ago.  

GasBuddy reports the cheapest gas station in the Columbus area is priced at $2.91 per gallon, and the most expensive is $3.42.
