COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Gas prices for Columbus drivers are slightly cheaper than in previous weeks. 

GasBuddy reports the average price for a gallon of gas in the Columbus area is now $4.95, which is 7.9 cents cheaper than last week. That’s still 48.7 cents higher than a month ago, however, and $1.93 than a year ago.  

The cheapest gas station around Columbus was $4.71, with the most expensive being $5.29.  

Nationally, the price for a gallon of gas has fallen 4.2 cents, to an average of $4.97.
