COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Gas prices in the Columbus area are slightly lower compared to last week.  

According to GasBuddy, the average cost for gas in the Columbus area is $3.07 a gallon, which is about five cents cheaper than last week.  

Prices are about eight cents higher than a month ago, and $1.08 higher than a year ago.  

GasBuddy reports, the cheapest station in Columbus is priced at $2.83 while the most expensive is $3.39, a difference of 56 cents per gallon.
