COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Police are investigating after a car crashed into a brewery in Franklinton on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to Taft’s Brewpourium at 440 W. Broad St. around 1:17 p.m. on Wednesday after getting a report that a car drove into the building, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Authorities said the driver was arrested and no one was injured.

Lindsey Schleich, a building resident who lives above Taft’s, said she was home when she heard the crash below.
“I heard this loud screech and then the whole building shook and there was a giant boom, and so we grabbed our phones and ran downstairs,” said Schleich.
Authorities removed the car from the building later in the afternoon on Wednesday as the brewery began cleanup in hopes of reopening by this weekend. A manager for Taft’s told NBC4 the brewery is expecting a large crowd on Saturday for the Columbus Crew’s home season opener.
Taft’s is providing updates on reopening plans online here.
