COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 17-year-old boy is recovering after being shot multiple times overnight Monday in the South Linden neighborhood, according to Columbus police.
CPD said the teenager was shot just before midnight while inside a car with a 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man at the 100 block of Jefferson Avenue. After the shooting, the victims drove to the back lot of a house on the 950 block of East 11th Avenue.
It was at East 11th Ave. officers found the victims and saw the 17-year-old with gunshot wounds to his face, shoulder, and hand. The other two victims were not injured.
The teen was taken to an area hospital in stable condition and is recovering, per police.
CPD say that a man in a mask shot at the victims’ car multiple times in what is the 865th felony assault in Columbus this year.
