This month will mark the fifth anniversary of a Columbus woman’s disappearance.
Jayme Bowen, then 22, was last seen walking near Stewart and Washington Avenues, on April 10, 2014.
Since then, none of her family or friends have heard from her.
“I just can’t believe it’s been this long with nothing, I mean absolutely nothing,” said Nancy Bowen, her mother. “It’s just killing
me.”
Nancy Bowen said over the years, she has heard possible tips and theories as to what happened to Jayme, but none have led to her daughter.
She believes Jayme may have fallen victim to human trafficking.
“That’s the only thing left for me to believe anymore,” she said. “There’s something or some reason that she can’t get a call to us or anything — she can’t make contact and there’s been
nothing from her to anybody.”
Nancy Bowen is also confident that Jayme is alive and someone knows her whereabouts.
“You just don’t disappear into thin air,” she said. “Somebody knows something.”
Anyone with information on Jayme’s whereabouts is encouraged to call Columbus police (614) 645-4545.
