Columbus police searching for ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect in Linden homicide

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police are searching for the suspect in a deadly shooting in the Linden area. 

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 10:07pm, Sunday, officers were called to the 1300 block of Aberdeen Avenue on the report of a shooting. 

When officers arrived on scene, they found Rodney Nathaniel Wade, 59, suffering from a gunshot wound.  

Wade was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where he died from his injury.  

On Monday, police filed murder charges against Darryl H. Lewis, 35, in the shooting death of Wade. 

Police say Lewis shot Wade during a drug deal turned failed robbery attempt.  

Lewis is considered armed and dangerous.
