Columbus police looking for information after shots fired in Hilltop

HILLTOP (WCMH)– Officers with the Columbus Division of Police are investigating shots fired incident in Hilltop after the alleged victim refused to cooperate.

According to a release, on Dec.2, officers were called out to West Mound Street after a report of shots fired.

A caller told authorities they heard four or five shots and then saw a white Nissan Maxima speed away. When officers responded they did not find any victims or suspects.

A few hours later a 16-year-old boy was taken to Grant hospital with a gunshot wound where a bullet grazed his shoulder.

Police say the boy refused to cooperate with them and they are looking for information on the incident.
