COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police are investigating the death of a two-year-old on the Southeast Side.
According to Columbus police, officers responded to an apartment along the 4600 block of Refugee Road Monday afternoon on a report of a child barely breathing with a possible broken arm.
A neighbor told NBC4’s Shawn Lanier that he heard screaming from the victim’s mother saying something was wrong with the child.
The child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Tuesday afternoon, the child was pronounced dead. CPD’s homicide unit is conducting a death investigation.
