COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A Columbus woman is facing a felonious assault charge, accused of hitting her daughter in the head and stabbing her.

Mary F. Robinson, 64, appeared before a Franklin County Municipal Court judge Monday.

According to court records, Robinson and her adult daughter were arguing and Robinson didn’t like something her daughter said. Robinson then allegedly hit her daughter over the head with a heavy glass candlestick and stabbed her in the face.

Court records say Robinson also tried to stab her daughter with a large butcher knife. The daughter was able to wrestle the knife away.

Robinson’s bond was set at $100,000.
