Columbus man is in jail after police say he shot a man twice in the stomach

COLUMBUS (WCMH)—A man was arrested after police found another man with two gunshot wounds to his stomach.

According to a release, on December 20 around 8:49pm, officers were dispatched to N. Ohio Avenue for a reported shooting.  When they arrived they found Darrell Cross Jr., 20, had been shot twice in the stomach. Cross Jr. told police he got into an argument with Eddie Slade, 62, and was shot several times.

Cross Jr. was taken to a local hospital.

Slade was arrested and charged with felony assault.
