Columbus Humane says it is closed to the public Friday, May 4th after accepting a dog with an infectious disease.
The shelter says the dog came from a southern Ohio shelter and presented with a ‘non-curable infections disease.’
The dog was housed in a medical quarantine area and exposure to other dogs was limited, according to the shelter. Even though the dog was isolated from others, the shelter says it is following protocols to ensure the health and safety of its entire population.
