After serving what amounted to a one-game suspension, Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky returned to the team Friday morning and will likely play in at least one of the Jackets' games this weekend.
Bobrovsky met with his teammates and management Friday morning to "clear the air" and then joined the team for practice.
The team, including Bobrovsky, traveled to Washington D.C. later Friday for their Saturday meeting with the Capitals. It's unclear whether Bobrovsky will start Saturday night. Joonas Korpisalo started in goal vs. Nashville Thursday.
Bobrovsky was suspended from Thursday night's game due to an angry outburst from Bobrovsky toward management following the Jackets' 4-0 loss at Tampa Tuesday night.
Bobrovsky, a two-time NHL All-Star and two-time Vezina Trophy winner, will become a free agent at the end of the season.
Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen says the team still wants to re-sign Bobrovsky to a new contract.
