CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) – The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating a fatal shooting involving a Pickaway County sheriff’s deputy early Saturday morning in Circleville.
According to a BCI spokesman, the shooting happened outside of a Rodeway Inn on U.S. Route 23 in Circleville at approximately 2:40 a.m. Saturday morning.
It is not known what led to the shooting, but a woman was killed by a sheriff’s deputy, according to the Circleville Police Department.
No officers were injured in the incident.
In addition to the Pickaway Sheriff’s Office and Circleville police, Ohio State Highway Patrol officers responded to the call.
