A Canal Winchester Local Schools coach has been placed on administrative leave due to allegations of misconduct.

The coach was immediately placed on leave when district officials learned of the allegations, Canal Winchester officials said.

“The safety of our students is our first priority, and the district has made all required reports, will cooperate fully with law enforcement and has begun its own investigation,” said Brigid Krueger, a spokesperson for the district.

We take the allegations seriously and will see this investigation to its full and complete conclusion,” Krueger said.

Canal Winchester resident Cory Eller says he is disgusted.

“It is kind of shocking to hear something like that in our local schools here,” said Eller.

Eller is just hearing about the coach who is accused of inappropriate conduct.

School officials said they cannot provide additional information about the matter because it is an ongoing legal investigation.

“Hopefully the school takes it seriously and does a proper investigation,” said Eller.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation should contact Assistant Superintendent Kiya Hunt at
