Breast cancer survivors share their stories of becoming new moms ahead of Komen Race for the Cure

One of Columbus’ biggest events is coming up on Saturday: The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Ashlee Hunt and Brittany Corbitt are both breast cancer survivors and new moms. Ashlee and Brittany stopped by the NBC4 studio to talk about their fight against breast cancer and the challenges they went through to become mothers. You can watch their full interview above.

The Race for the Cure will be held Saturday, May 19 in downtown Columbus. The expo and SurvivorPalooza open at 8am. There will be a Survivor Ceremony at 9am at Columbus City Hall and the 5K run/walk starts at 9:45am. Komen Columbus has raised nearly $1 million of this year’s $1.3 million goal.
