Columbus Division of Police have identified the man whose body was found on the berm of Interstate-70 eastbound just west of downtown Columbus as 42-year-old Robert Coleman.
Police say Coleman was not hit by a vehicle. Investigators say his body was dumped there after he died of a drug overdose.
All lanes of I-70 from the west side were closed for several hours on Tuesday morning after his body was found on the side of the highway.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 7:30am, Tuesday, officers received several calls of a body on the left side of I-70 eastbound near Cooper Stadium.
Accident investigators and crime scene specialist combed the area looking for evidence of how the body got there and any clues for a cause of death.
