Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.
NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.
This week, Hattie and Max met Barney Bear and Jazzy from Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue.
They are two Pekingese, who have lived together their entire lives, and need a new home.
Jazzy is a blonde 8-year-old girl and Barney Bear is a black 10-year-old boy. The rescue is hoping someone will adopt them together.
“They will actually talk to each other in their little Pekingese language. they are fun all around as you can see,” said Foster, Katie Roswell.
She said they are really good with kids, are well behaved in general and have lived in a home their entire lives. They could go to just about anyone.
“They’re just friendly. They want to play and have fun. They’re just starting to work with toys and get used to know those. I think somebody who likes small dogs. They’re loving.”
Both dogs will need some inexpensive eye drops which is typical for their breed.
When it comes to the ideal adopter, Roswell said someone who can give them great attention.
“I’d like to see someone who will interact with them. Not just leave them home during the day. I know we have to work and they have each other during the day but they seem to really like that,” Rosswell said.
With fluffy tails and all-star personalities, they deserve their new perfect family. If you think it’s yours, head to Ohiofuzzypawz.com and fill out an application!
