Indianapolis, IN (WCMH)—More than three thousand Northwestern University students are going to the Big 10 Championship game for free thanks to an anonymous donor.

According to Inside NU, 3,400 students have registered for free tickets. That is approximately 45 percent of the undergraduate student body.

No. 20 Northwestern will face No. 6 Ohio State after the Buckeyes punched their ticket to the championship game with a dominating win over Michigan, defeating the Wolverines 62-39.

If the Buckeyes defeat the Wildcats they may squeeze into the College Football Playoffs.

The Buckeyes have won six straight against Northwestern and lost to the Wildcats just once, dating to 1972.
