AMBER ALERT CANCELED: 2-month-old child taken from Warren, Ohio found safe

Local News

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 2-month-old infant taken from a Warren home on Thursday afternoon.

Police say Jasper Stennett has been found safe – his grandmother, the suspect’s mother, brought the child into the police station in Warren.

Jasper Stennett was taken just before 1:30 p.m. at a house on Hazelwood Avenue.

The suspect is 20-year-old James Stennett.

Stennett is now charged with domestic violence and interference with custody in Warren Municipal Court, according to WKBN.

“I heard the girl screaming for me to call the police. So I went over and I stood at the door and I went to see what was going on. He threw a vase in the house and, I don’t know, she hit him in the face. He choked her and he took a bag of stuff and he threw it outside the door, and he told her he was trying to throw her out of the house and he told her she wasn’t taking the baby. The baby was in the house screaming,” said neighbor Kathy Eckenrod.
