After rash of overdose deaths, CPD seizes 1 kilo of fentanyl

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Two days after five people died from overdoses in a 12-hour period, the Columbus Division of Police says officers seized a kilogram (2.2 pounds) of fentanyl from a west side home.

A search warrant was executed Thursday night at home on the 300 block of South Wayne Avenue.

In addition to seizing fentanyl, officers confiscated three guns, $10,000 in cash and made three arrests.

According to Columbus police, the investigation is ongoing.
