66-year-old man shot multiple times, killed in south Columbus

A 66-year-old man was killed on Saturday after he was shot multiple times in the Reeb-Hosack neighborhood on the south side of Columbus.

Wiley L. Ross has been identified as the man who was shot on Saturday at about 7:30 p.m.

Police used Shotspotter, which placed the incident location at 310 Stanaford Place.

Patrol officers checked that location and were met by the residents who directed them to Ross.

Ross was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. He died at the hospital just after 8 p.m., police said.

The shooting remains under investigation, police said.

This is the 45th homicide in Columbus in 2019, according to police.
