21-year-old arraigned on murder charges after shooting man multiple times

Kandle Messenger, 21, was arraigned in Franklin County Municipal Court Wednesday morning on one count of murder.

Messenger is accused of killing David Pack, 25, who was shot multiple times at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 25 after a physical confrontation in the 2000 block of West Mound Street. 

Pack was pronounced dead at the scene.

The judge set Messenger’s bond at $100,085.

He was ordered to stay away from primary witnesses, not commit any further acts of violence and not to possess firearms or ammunition as conditions of his bond.

He has not posted bond at this time.

His next court date is a preliminary hearing on March 8.
