I live in Plain City and because of COVID we could not go to the tree lighting and awe Santa so the wonderful people Of Plain City did this drive through to all the neighbors in Plain City…. it was truly magical for the kids!!
I am a senior in high school. This year hasn’t been easy, but I got to have a marching band season! And we won the band of the week! Being able to have a season meant a lot to me. We didn’t compete, but we got to make a show and have fun with it! My son was by far the best part of 2020. My business was pretty much put on hold because of the pandemic (I’m an event planner) but having the extra time with him has been amazing. It was HARD – my husband couldn’t be at appointments, I had to labor in a mask and we couldn’t have visitors. It’s definitely not what you imagine having your first child to be like. But he will always, always be such a gift and tangible depiction of grace for us. Even though this year has been rough, on October 10, 2020 I was able to marry the love of my life with our family and friends safely surrounding us! I am currently in S Korea visiting with my son and family for the past three weeks. Had to quarantine for the first two weeks and check in three times a day, but was able to spend time with my only grandson whom I hadn’t seen since last January and celebrate his first birthday. Masks are worn whenever we are out. Headed home next Friday with a heart filled with love and gratitude for this trip. Since it was before the shutdown, my son was able to be there for the birth and I’ve been able to visit a few times. They are in Chicago. He is a blessing. I celebrated my 70th Birthday on December 7th. Had planned on a Big warm weather destination trip but that was scuttled. Instead shared a nice evening with my Wife, Sister in Law, Nephew and a close couple. I decided to donate the money I would have spent on a trip to a needy Not for Profit organization that I support. Vacation at Dollywood Vacation at Dollywood Vacation at Dollywood 2020 has been rough- my daughter was just ending her first year of school and was yanked from it while we all tried to learn a new normal. One good thing that came from this is we all learned to appreciate the simple things- over the summer we had many camp outs and got back in touch with the outdoors. Typically we would go on a family vacation- staying home meant my kids got to experience a whole new type of adventure- enjoying the wonderful outdoors. 2020 has been rough- my daughter was just ending her first year of school and was yanked from it while we all tried to learn a new normal.
