20 years later, the Free Store continues to make Christmas bright for families

COLUMBUS (WCMH)—The Community Development For All People Free Store wrapped up the Season of Giving this weekend.

For the 20th year, the Free Store was transformed into a winter wonderland.

“We’ll be giving away about $50,000 worth of merchandise,” said Reverend John Edgar, Community Development For All People Executive Director.

Those donations will go towards making the season brighter for the families of 500 local children. With the help of Santa’s elves, parents were able to come to the store and shop for brand new toys and clothing. The group of volunteers helped make the experience a positive one.

“You have people from all walks of life coming together for one reason and that is to spread joy,” said Matthew Goldstein, Besa founder.
