2 teens dead in suspected murder-suicide on city’s southeast side

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police in Columbus are investigating a suspected murder-suicide on the southeast side of the city involving a man and a woman who were both 19 years old.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at 4098 Raft Lane just after 10:30 p.m. and found two unresponsive victims in an upstairs bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say an initial investigation revealed the suspect and victim had been involved in a relationship for some time and the suspect, Loren F.T. Williamson, shot and killed the victim, Veronica Madison Lee.

Seconds later, Williamson took his own life, police said.

This is the 21st homicide in Columbus.
