2 injured in crash involving 3 semi trucks; portion of I-70 east reduced to two lanes

Traffic on Interstate 70 east has been reduced to two lanes between State Route 29 and State Route 142 for one to two hours so crews can remove an overhead sign damaged during an early Saturday morning crash near West Jefferson in Madison County.

Two people were injured and transported to area hospitals after the crash, which occurred on I-70 east at mile marker 84 in Madison County.

All lanes on Interstate 70 East at U.S 42 were closed for hours.

Traffic on I-70 east at U.S. 42 reopened before 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced traffic had been reduced to two lanes between State Route 29 and State Route 142 just before 11:45 a.m.
