Two people were transported to area hospitals in stable condition after an ax attack on a COTA bus Friday evening.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of North High Street and East Hudson Street after an argument between two men.
The suspect, Samuel D. Myatt, 58, of 186 Clinton St., told police after a fight with the victim, Ronald Sparks, Jr., 49, he ran home got an ax and returned to the scene and struck Sparks with the ax, according to Columbus police.
Witnesses say Sparks was struck with the ax several times with the blunt end of the ax, according to police.
Myatt, who was arrested and charged with felonious assault, told police he knew what he did was wrong.
