2 ejected, juvenile flown to hospital after single-vehicle crash in Chillicothe

Two people were ejected and a juvenile suffered serious injuries and was flown by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center on Tuesday after a single-vehicle crash in Chillicothe.

The crash occurred at Normal Hill Road near Little Creek Road just before 7 a.m. when Gavin Gibson, 19, of Chillicothe, driving eastbound on CR-92 or Normal Hill Road and lost control of the vehicle he was driving and traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned the vehicle, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Gibson refused medical treatment and his 22-year-old passenger, Triston Tipton, of Columbus, was released at the scene, troopers said.

A third juvenile was flown by medical helicopter to Grant with serious injuries, according to troopers.

Concord Township Fire Department and EMS were on scene to assist, officials said.

The public is reminded to wear their seatbelts, officials said.

The crash remains under investigation.
