1 in critical condition after house fire at North Columbus home

Local News

A man is in critical condition at an area hospital after firefighters pulled him out of a home that caught fire in the 3100 block of Eisenhower Road.

Firefighters were called to 3180 Eisenhower Road early Saturday where photos and videos captured flames shooting out of the windows and smoke billowing high above the trees. The fire was contained at 3:06 a.m., firefighters said.

Two people escaped the blaze before firefighters arrived, officials said. The man, who was still inside the home when firefighters arrived, was transported to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but officials say arson investigators are investigating the blaze.
