Iaconos Pizza warned by health department after repeated code violations

The health department warned a popular Hilliard family-owned pizza business to clean up its act.

Iaconos Pizza & Restaurant, 5068 Cemetery Road in Hilliard, received a warning letter from the Franklin County Public Health Department. 

The restaurant has had “repeated uncorrected violations and/or a failure to maintain sanitary corrections,” according to the letter.

During a recent inspection, inspectors uncovered five critical violations:

  • Raw eggs stored near ready to eat meatballs
  • Ice machine in need of cleaning
  • Food in the cooler not date-marked

So far this year, Iaconos has had four inspections for a total of 40 violations, including 11 critical ones.
