Foster Farms recalling 220,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets

LIVINGSTON, CA (KRON) – A big recall was issued on Friday night from Foster Farms, according to CNN.

The company is recalling 220,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets. The USDA says the chicken could contain blue plastic or black rubber.

Foster Farms said it didn’t know about the problem until customers started complaining. The affected product was made on February 22, 2016 and March 8, 2016.

The recall only involves Foster Farms frozen cooked chicken breast nuggets sold in 5-pound club sized bags at select West Coast Costco locations in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah and Washington, and as 10-pound bulk boxes to non-retail wholesale distributors in California and Arizona, according to a statement by Foster Farms.

Customers can either throw them away or return them to the store where they were bought.

So far, there are no reports of anyone getting sick. What others are clicking on:
