Help NBC4 and Roxane Labs on Drug Disposal Day at Your Local Kroger
NBC4 (WCMH-TV), Roxane Laboratories and Kroger are working together to prevent teen prescription drug abuse in central Ohio by offering a way to safely dispose of expired and unused medications at local Kroger stores throughout central Ohio. This event is part of the Prevent Teen Prescription Drug Abuse <http://www.nbc4i.com/category/255689/prevent-teen-drug-abuse> campaign.
To ensure safe disposal, NBC4, Roxane Laboratories and Kroger, in collaboration with Franklin, Delaware and Licking County Sheriff’s Office and Kroger, will once again offer Drug Disposal Day events this year at seven different locations. The next upcoming event will be on Saturday, April 25, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at these locations:

Contributing to the prevention of prescription drug abuse is as easy as driving through a Kroger parking lot to give your expired and unused medications to a Franklin County Sheriff Deputy. All unused and expired medications will be accepted, including pills, liquids, gels, and patches. Medications will not be accepted in-store or by anyone other than a Franklin Country Sheriff Deputy.
According to statistics, almost 4.5 million teens report trying prescription drugs for recreational purposes.
