Deputies searching for Grove City man charged with pandering child pornography

GROVE CITY, OH (WCMH)– Franklin County deputies are searching for a man accused of pandering child pornography.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Steven Sloter, has been under investigation since 2011 for the possession and distribution of child pornography.

A child pornography search warrant was executed on Sloter’s residence, Wednesday, at 4488 Clayburn Drive, in Grove City, but he was not home. Task force officers have been unable to locate Sloter, who has a warrant for his arrest on charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.

In 2011, Sloter pleaded guilty to one count of endangering children and was sentenced to four years in prison. Deputies said during this time, he was being investigated by the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, for the child pornography charges.

Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott states, “In early January, Mr. Sloter reappeared on our radar for trading child pornography in the Franklin County area. A search warrant was executed on Mr. Sloter’s residence yesterday evening by Franklin County ICAC detectives and evidence of child pornography was located on his computer.”

Deputies ask anyone with information on Sloter’s whereabouts is asked to call the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 614-525-3333.
