Police identify man killed in northeast Columbus shooting; no known suspects at this time

The Columbus Division of Police have identified the man shot and killed in northeast Columbus Friday night, and investigators say they have no suspects.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Forest Village Lane just before 9pm on the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say 21-year-old Jordan A. Kinchen was pronounced dead on the scene. The second victim, whose identity is being withheld by investigators, was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators say there are no known suspects in the case at this time, but they are exploring several possible motives.

This is the 88th homicide in the City of Columbus this year.
