CRIME OF THE WEEK: Cash reward offered for information on high-end bicycle theft

Crime

Police are offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who stole a high-end bicycle from Merion Village.

It happened on Friday, Sept. 28 around 5:25am on West Moler Street. The man went onto the front porch of a home, cut the lock attached to the Biria bicycle and took it. The bike is valued at $1,000, making this crime a felony.

“They obviously came prepared knowing what they were doing,” Central Ohio Crime Stoppers president Kristen McKinley said. “Maybe someone knows him out there and can give us more information and other viewers might know who the person is based on the video and what he looks like.”

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the man responsible for stealing the bicycle. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS(8477). You can also submit a tip online at www.stopcrime.org or through the free P3 Tips app, available for iOS and Android devices. All tips are anonymous and calls are never recorded.
