Crime

Investigators are offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of two men who jumped a man and shot him during a home invasion in northeast Columbus earlier this month.

Columbus Police say Eric Manias had just arrived home to his apartment on Palmer Park Circle West around 12:30am on Saturday, Aug. 4. As he was unlocking his front door, two men jumped Manias from behind and forced him into his apartment where they held him at gunpoint.

The suspects demanded Manias hand over any valuables. The suspects then fired at Manias, leaving him with two gunshot wounds to the abdomen before fleeing the scene.

Manias was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the men responsible for this crime. The suspects are described as young black men. One was wearing a read hoodie and the other was dressed in all white at the time of the incident.
