CRIME OF THE WEEK: Cash reward offered for information in 2014 east Columbus homicide

Crime

Police are still searching for answers nearly four years after a man was killed in east Columbus.

Just before 11pm on May 8, 2014, Keith Marsh stepped outside to smoke a cigarette on the porch of his apartment on the 200 block of Mayfair Boulevard. Moments later, he was shot by an unknown person.

Marsh was able to stumble back inside his home, but he collapsed on the kitchen floor. When medics arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives with the Columbus Division of Police are still seeking tips as to who pulled the trigger.

“Nobody knows who shot and killed him at all,” said Kristen McKinley, president of Central Ohio Crime Stoppers. “[All we know is that] he sustained a gunshot wound, collapsed in the kitchen and died.”

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person responsible for Marsh’s death. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS(8477) or to submit a tip online at www.stopcrime.org. You may also submit a tip through the new P3 Tips mobile app, available for iOS and Android devices. All typs are anonymous.
