Beth Dal Ponte is a reporter for NBC4.

Prior to joining the NBC4 team again in 2014, Beth was a reporter and fill-in anchor for NBC4 from 1998 to 2008, and for several months in late 2013.

Dal Ponte, originally from Zanesville, graduated cum laude from the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

Beth said her most memorable story was that of a missing Columbus boy. While gathering information, Beth said she saw a boy she thought looked like the missing boy, and yelled out his name. It was the missing boy, and Beth called 911 to report he was found safe.

If she weren’t working in television, Beth said she would be a teacher or she would work in the theater.

Beth’s first job was as a waitress for Ponderosa Steakhouse, but she began in media in 1997 working for the Ohio News Network.

Dal Ponte lives in Columbus with her husband and children.
