With less than a week to go until the 20th annual Creekside Blues and Jazz festival, plenty of work is being done to prepare.
This year, the festival will feature more than 90 hours of world-class music on five stages. One of the performers, central Ohio band Change It Up Charlie, stopped by the NBC4 studio to preview their performance.
The band has been performing at the Blues and Jazz festival for eight years. They will be performing selections form their new album, “With Benefits.” Singer Holly Schmitt said the band gets a lot of its inspiration from older music, but they also draw from current music.
Schmitt refers to the band’s style as “outlaw lounge music.”
Change It Up Charlie will be performing at 2:15 on Saturday, June 16 at the Union Banks Blues Stage.
The Blues and Jazz Festival begins June 15 and runs through June 17.
