Head over to the Gateway Film Center for the seventh annual Film Festival of Columbus. The festival features work from seasoned and rising filmmakers from all over the world, panel discussions, and more.
Live music, arts vendors, food and a car show — you can experience all that and more at this year’s Dan Emmett Festival in Mount Vernon. Festival Latino started as just a 5-hour experiment in 1996 and has grown to a two-day event with live music, dancing, cultural and arts workshops, Latin American cuisine and more. This year, the free family-friendly event will feature even more national and international musical performers, Ohio-based Latino dance and music, and more than 20 food vendors.
There’s something for everyone at the 2018 All-Ohio Balloon Fest in Marysville. From live entertainment and helicopter rides to sky jumping and balloons, it’s one of the can’t-miss events of the summer. Calling all beer lovers! You won’t want to miss Columbus’ annual Summer Beer Fest at Express LIVE! on Saturday. More than 130 breweries are participating, and there will be live music and lots of food trucks. This is an adults-only event. Tickets start at $55 for regular admission and include 25 sample tickets and a 5-ounce souvenir beer mug. Celebrate the oldest farmers market in central Ohio at the annual North Market Farmers’ festival. Admission is free, and there are activities for the whole family, including cooking demos, farm animals from Shady Grove Farm, an amateur pie baking contest, children’s crafts and more.
