NBC4 Continues Autism Awareness Campaign
“The Autism Puzzle” aired Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019
(WCMH-TV) continues to raise awareness about autism with its latest edition of The Autism Puzzle on April 3rd at 7:30pm. The Autism Puzzle annually raises awareness of and provides information about the complex disorder of autism.
Hosted by NBC4’s Jerod Smalley, this piece of the puzzle will be a continuation of a conversation about autism research, treatments and needs of those on the autism spectrum. The special will also feature:
* ADNP Syndrome – a genetic mutation in the brain only recently discovered and closely linked to Autism.
* The Rich Center and its mission to improve education and outcomes for individuals with autism and their families.
* A unique concept being developed in Columbus for an Autism Community
* And, a young woman with Aspergers Syndrome’s “Night to Shine”
NBC4 is providing a live simulcast of the program to WKBN in Youngstown and WTRF in Wheeling/Steubenville.
The Autism Puzzle also offers a live phone bank (614-821-4444) and a live digital chat conversation to provide resources and answers to viewers and the community about autism.
