Jonathan Jackson

Jonathan Jackson started as a reporter at NBC4 in February 2021.

He’s originally from the Metro-Detroit area, and began his career at WNEM-TV in Saginaw and Flint, Michigan, as a reporter and fill-in anchor.

While there he covered a number of high-profile stories such as the fallout of the Flint Water Crisis and the kidnapping plot against Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Jonathan is also a proud graduate of Oakland University, with a Bachelor’s in Communication and minors in both Broadcasting and Journalism.

A fun fact about Jonathan: before getting into television, he was involved in radio, and has been featured on programs such as “The Mitch Albom Show” on WJR in Detroit.

In his spare time, you can find Jonathan watching sports (particularly football), playing video games like Super Smash Bros., or going bowling.

If you see Jonathan around Central Ohio, feel free to say hi or ask him about his love of movies. He’s a huge fan of anything Marvel or D.C. and he also enjoys the James Bond films.
