Eric joined NBC4 as a multimedia journalist in August 2019. He’s extremely excited to take advantage of everything Ohio has to offer.
Before coming to NBC4, Eric was a multimedia journalist for WPRI in Providence, R.I. As a Boston sports fan, he was spoiled in his two years in Rhode Island. He got to cover a Patriots’ Super Bowl win and a Red Sox World Series win along with a number of other playoff runs.
He also covered three major strikes. In a two year span, nurses at Rhode Island’s biggest hospital, school bus drivers in the capital city, and employees at one of the region’s largest grocery chains, all went on strike.
Prior to living in Rhode Island, Eric spent two years as a multimedia journalist for WOWK in Charleston, WV. He will never forget the inspiring people he met covering the historic and devastating flooding of June 2016.
Eric graduated from Elon University with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Leadership studies. He previously interned for 60 Minutes in New York City and WCVB-TV in Massachusetts, not far from where he grew up. He grew up in a small town called Ashland. Fun fact, the Boston Marathon used to start there.
Eric loves cooking and trying out new restaurants! If you have any recipes or restaurant suggestions, please send them along! During his time off you can find him trying new running or hiking trails or just exploring the area!
