Dave Mazza

Dave Mazza is the Chief Meteorologist for NBC4.  You can catch him on NBC4 during the week at 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 11 p.m.

He came to NBC4 in October 2012. Before joining Storm Team 4, Dave worked all over Texas – from NBC affiliates in San Angelo in west Texas, San Antonio, and Austin, to the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi.

A native of Crystal Lake, IL, Dave attended Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and earned his bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science.

Dave is a member of the American Meteorological Society and earned the AMS’s prestigious designation of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (Seal #493).

Dave’s first job was delivering newspapers twice a week – mainly to buy baseball cards (which he still has) and save money (which he no longer has).

Dave and his wife Crystal have two boys, David III (Davey), and Oakley (Oaks). The Mazza family also have a mischievous Australian Labradoodle, Camper.

The Mazza family loves living in central Ohio and exploring all kinds of fun, new, and beautiful spots here in the Buckeye State.  They love outdoor sports, disc golf, camping, hiking, live music, the Blue Jackets, and riding bikes on all the cool and amazing trails around the state.

If you see Dave out and about, stop him and say hello!
